Events for cyclists in Val Gardena, South Tyrolean Dolomites

South Tyrol Dolomites MTB HERO race and the Sellaronda Bike Day are events not to be missed.

South Tyrol Dolomites HERO on 14.06.2025
South Tyrolean Dolomites HERO is an endurance race where only mountain bikes are allowed. The 2015 issue was the UCI MTB MARATHON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Only mountain bikes are allowed and riders are required to wear a helmet throughout the whole competition.
The competition is held on two different routes: a long route over 85 km with a cumulative elevation gain of 4,500 meters and a shorter route over 60 km with a cumulative elevation gain of 3,200 metres. Participants need to specify their route of choice when registering. The race takes place on both public and private roads. Sellaronda Bike Day 07.06.2025
The Sellaronda Bike Day will take place on a Sunday in spring and in autumn. On this Sunday, all the roads of the four Dolomite passes around the Sella Group are reserved for cyclists only so that you ride around the Sella Group without any exhaust fumes. All the Dolomite passes (Sella, Gardena , Pordoi and Campolongo) are only available to cyclists from 08:30 to 15:30.
The number of participants is unlimited!
